Job Description 


To work on developing STUDIO VOLPI sales and marketing activities in the United States, we are recruiting a Business Development Manager with an entrepreneurial mindset and experience in the industry (industrial design in furniture, industrial equipment, etc). 




  • The goal of the Business Development Manager is to penetrate and position Studio Volpi services in the United States and provide existing and potential customers with solutions that are tailored to their needs. 

  • Working with the headquarter team in Italy and external agencies, the business development manager is in charge of prospecting new customers and markets  (a primary task at first) and selling Studio Volpi services to identify their specific needs. Performing cost-benefit analyses of existing and potential customers 

  • The Business Development Manager will be responsible for all sales efforts in the US, maintaining positive business relationships to ensure future sales, and will require to permanently coordinate all commercial activities with the team in Italy. Traveling will be involved to meet up with clients, prospects, and industry events. Additional responsibilities include: 

  • Present, promote, and sell services using solid arguments to existing and prospective customers 

  • Perform cost-benefit and needs analysis of existing/potential customers to meet their needs 

  • Establish, develop and maintain positive business and customer relationships 

  • Expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints to maximize satisfaction 

  • Achieve agreed upon sales targets and outcomes within schedule 

  • Coordinate sales effort with team members and other departments in Italy 

  • Analyze the territory/market’s potential, track sales and status reports 

  • Keep abreast of best practices and prom 

  • Attend internal meetings and provide periodic reports 

  • Utilize Salesforce as the CRM to keep track of progress and requirement 

  • Provide monthly forecasts and  reports 




  • Great communication skills, able to listen, understand and ask questions to provide appropriate solutions and advice 

  • Excel at negotiation, by persuading customers to acquire Studio Volpi services. Influence stakeholders and be tactful when handling customers and investors 

  • Be confident managing project identifying goals, targets, costs. budgets, deadlines and teamwork performance to complete it

  • Strong business acumen with an entrepreneurial mind and self initiator. Understanding of the business development role and the ability to monitor industry trends and dynamics

  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills. Time management 

  • You have a strong interest in projects that combine business development, technological innovation and managerial responsibilities

  • You are a team player and ready to learn quick 

  • You have an aptitude for multi-tasking




  • You have previous experience in the industry 

  • Familiarity with CRM (Salesforce) practices  

  • Highly motivated with a proven track record in sales and business development 

  • Excellent selling, negotiation and communication skills 

  • Prioritizing, time management and organizational skills 

  • Ability to create and deliver presentations tailored to the audience needs 

  • Relationship management skills and openness to feedback 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field 

  • Able to operate with time difference schedules with Europe and other continents
