HUMAN-CENTRIC DESIGN
Eurotech is a global provider of advanced Edge Computing and Internet of Things (IIoT) solutions. They asked Studio Volpi to rethink the design of its edge hardware, making it more recognisable, intuitive and consistent with the brand’s positioning.
We built a vision that goes beyond the individual product: not only improving the form of the hardware but transforming the entire ecosystem into a design language that highlights Eurotech’s innovation and makes daily work easier for the people who interact with these devices.

DESIGNING VALUE FOR BRAND AND USERS
The project began with a research phase focused on brand identity and real-world use.
The hardware was observed in its actual context to understand how it is handled, read and installed, turning these insights into design requirements. In parallel, the Eurotech universe was analysed to extract its visual codes and values. From there, different concept directions were developed, all aimed at creating a coherent family of products, immediately recognisable and aligned with the brand.

TURNING FUNCTION INTO FORM
One of Studio Volpi’s key contributions was to develop form directly from functional and manufacturing constraints, using them as drivers for a coherent product language. The position on the cabinet door, defined by installation, access and connectivity needs, was shaped into a precise layout that organises interfaces and volumes, improving clarity, usability and consistency within a highly technical environment.

A COHERENT LANGUAGE FOR THE EDGE
These explorations evolved into a shared visual language for Eurotech’s products. An essential palette, built on the contrast between dark tones and colour accents, creates an immediately recognisable and consistent signature across the range, even in highly technical environments.
Recurring formal details and distinctive front faces become signature elements of the product family, strengthening brand identity and allowing solutions to be tailored to different clients and applications without losing coherence.

BEYOND HARDWARE: A STRATEGIC TOUCHPOINT
For Eurotech, this project consolidates edge hardware as a true strategic brand touchpoint: devices no longer perceived only as technical components hidden inside cabinets, but as designed objects that make a vision of intelligent, efficient and sustainable infrastructures tangible.
For Studio Volpi, the collaboration confirms how innovation, design and communication can converge into a single, coherent narrative: a design language for the edge that is essential, contemporary and ready to accompany the next generation of connected systems.
