The IDS (International Dental Show) held every two years in Cologne, Germany, is the world's leading trade fair in the dental industry, showcasing all the innovation in the various fields. Rotograph Prime was a noted innovation at IDS2015, and international markets are now awaiting its commercial launch. For Rotograph Prime, Studio Volpi was in charge of every step of the project, from product design through to pre- engineering and product graphics. Starting from the creation of the concept, the Studio defined the guiding principles of the new product's style, and ultimately took on the product's design. The objective, as reminded by Eric Loiseau (the Senior Designer leading the project), was to obtain a product that featured a silent technology and looked light. The subsequent steps were the machine's pre-engineering, the study of colours and graphics and the development of the user interface.
